AP reworked the dial's texture making the grain finer (and brighter), resulting in an effect that plays differently depending on lighting conditions. The blue hue is obtained using PVD and then covered with a translucent coating that brings out the color. The date window is color-matched to the dial with a midnight blue backdrop.</br>
