A Microtor: the lovely in-house Universal Geneve movementAs well known as Universal Geneve was for its complicated chronograph movements, the company did some excellent work on basic link 3-hand movements.Honestly, the case shape and fit on the Zelo and the Seiko are nearly identical.Last year marked the introduction of the 36mm Cut, which I liked quite a bit.In a lineup where the black 3861 Moonwatch is the perfect way to appreciate a direct descendant of horological and astronautical history, all the subtle changes on the new white dial make it feel like the first truly modern Moonwatch release from the Swatch Group. White dial Speedmasters are nothing new, as Mark highlights in his Week on the Wrist, but this one as a Moonwatch feels different.</br>
Looking at the lay-out of the dial (sub counters on 12, 9 and 6 link o'clock) we suspect that there is an ETA/Valjoux 7750 based movement inside with a modification for the GMT complication.I'd argue that the silver-dial Prince Oysterdate Jumbo would look particularly handsome on a gray NATO strap, for example.It's not uncommon to hear that the IWC in the 1990s was seen as the anti-Rolex option for a discerning buyer.</br>
